Business Owner + Education Advocate

Julie Spilsbury and her husband of 26 years have six children and have lived in Mesa’s District 2 for over two decades. Both are products of Mesa Public Schools attending elementary, junior high and high school here. Together, they ran a family tree care business for 23 years.

Julie has been active for over two decades in local schools, once named Volunteer of the Month for Mesa Public Schools. Both of her parents were teachers, which instilled in her the drive to support those who lead our children.

Julie is passionate about building a strong sense of community. She started a #MesaKindness campaign while on council and spends much of her time fostering community partnerships with those she works with and represents.

Julie sings in local choirs, loves to bake (is known for her famous cinnamon rolls), plays piano, and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking. She loves to be with her family. She attended Brigham Young University.
